Following her graduation from Saint Mary’s College (South Bend, Indiana) with a BBA in Accounting and a MPA in Criminal Justice and Criminology from San Diego State University, Jen intended to leverage her United States Secret Service internship and her experience at the San Diego Police Foundation to pursue forensic accounting, but discovered her passion for personal accounting while working as a public accountant at Considine & Considine CPAs.
Jen elected to put her accounting pursuits on hold to prioritize her husband’s Naval career and her desire for children by moving to Annapolis, Maryland and raising her family, which now consists of three daughters (12, 11, and 7). She maintained the role as “Wernig Family CEO/COO/CFO” for twelve years before deciding to start North Coast Consulting and Personal Bookkeeping, where she now delivers financial peace of mind by helping affluent families and individuals organize, coordinate, and navigate through their financial affairs.
Jen takes great pride in exceeding client expectations, providing the highest ethical and professional standards, forming and growing genuine and sincere client relationships, and preparing precise reports that exhibit superior attention to detail. She is not only a woman of competency, but also one of integrity, authenticity, and trustworthiness, loved by all who have the opportunity to work with her. Most importantly, she is a strong advocate of stewardship, believing that the adoption of profit enhancing strategies gives us all the ability to be more generous with our time, talent, and resources to pursue a greater goal.
